WOUB Learning Lab supports our community in ways beyond our broadcast and streaming services. In FY 24 we distributed 500 student backpacks with age-appropriate school supplies across three different counties. Our lending library allows teachers to check out educational technology items and integrate them into their classroom with no cost to them or their districts. Our team is available to answer questions and work directly with teachers to make sure they have a positive experience with our technology. In addition to our lending library we participate in community and school events around the region to distribute learning resources and lead learning activities for students and families. During this time of funding uncertainty, we are counting on you to stand up for this vital public service in our community. If you recognize the value of our service, visitProtect My Public Media.org to sign up to protect Public Media and WOUB’s future. Thanks for your support.

Helen Clarke | The Story of Us
Helen Clarke was the first of two women, and first woman of Indigenous ancestry, to hold the elective office of Lewis and Clark County Superintendent of Schools. Clarke was one of the first women to serve as an allotment agent, not in Montana but in Indian Territory, allotting land to the Otoe and Ponca Tribal members. Her greatest attribute was leadership in times of racial prejudice.
The Story of Us is a short documentary about incredible women who helped shape Montana. Each woman endured painful hardships and unimaginable losses, but each persevered in her own way and carved a path that still impacts Montana today.
