Excursions Women’s History Month Part 2 “More Than Just Sangin”celebrates the women whose lyrics, compositions, interpretations, innovations kept pace with Jazz’s developments, demands, directions.

From Blues shouters; Bop-scatters, to out-side ululations of vocal art-including sprechstimme and spoken-word; the wide variety of vocalizations that have inspired-accompanied-enhanced instrumental improvisation (Jazz) and the women who have shaped the vocal tradition will be front and center.
