ATHENS, Ohio (WOUB) — Roman Parodie will spend his summer on the Gulf Coast.

Ohio Football announced via X, formerly Twitter, on Saturday that Parodie has signed a UDFA deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Parodie notably turned heads during the pre-draft process after repping 20 bench press reps and running a 4.45 40-yard dash.

A five-year veteran and one of the final players in the program left who was recruited by Frank Solich, Parodie becomes the second Bobcat to sign a deal post-draft. Parodie joins running back Anthony Tyus III, who also signed a UDFA deal in his home state with the Detroit Lions.

The Broward County, Florida native joins a loaded secondary that includes Antoine Winfield Jr., Jamel Dean, 2025 draftees Benjamin Morrison, Jacob Parrish, and UDFA Shilo Sanders, the son of Pro Football Hall of Famer and Colorado head coach Deion Sanders.
