REEDSVILLE, Ohio (WOUB)— The Eastern (Pike) Eagles (2-1) travelled to Reedsville to take on the Eastern (Meigs) Eagles (2-1) for Gridiron Glory’s Week Four Game of the Week.

Eastern (Meigs) would win the coin toss, and they would score on their first drive thanks to an 83-yard touchdown run by Parker Durst. Eastern (Pike) would go three-and-out and turn it back over to Eastern (Meigs).

With the ball back, Kyler Basham ran in the Eagles’ second touchdown, but their kick would get blocked, to make the score 13-0.

Elijah Shaffer would take in a run for 69 yards to give Eastern (Pike) their first touchdown and make it a 13-7 game.  After the kickoff, Eastern (Meigs) would give up a fumble and let Eastern (Pike) recover it, but they would turn it over on downs again.

This turnover would give Trace Barnett for Eastern (Meigs) the chance for an 87-yard rushing touchdown, and with a two-point conversion, it’s a 21-7 game, end of the second quarter.

Both teams scored two more touchdowns in the third, but it ended with a 26-yard pass to Boston Webb for an Eastern (Pike) touchdown to make it a 28-20 score. Eastern (Meigs) will not let them have that satisfaction, as they will score their fifth touchdown on the next drive thanks to a 21-yard completion and a run by Basham to score and lead 35-20. There would be a fumble on the kickoff to give Eastern (Meigs) the ball on their own 26-yard line to give them the ball and a great field advantage going into the fourth quarter.

Basham would use this advantage to grab the Eastern (Meigs) Eagles for their sixth touchdown and make it a 42-20 game. That would be the final score as Eastern (Meigs) will move to 3-1 and Eastern (Pike) will move to 2-2.

Eastern (Pike) will travel to Southern (2-2) to face the Tornadoes, while Eastern (Meigs) will travel to Warren (1-2) to face the Warriors.
