Proposed 75 mph Speed Limit Would Move Ohio To The Fast Lane

Lawmakers in Ohio’s legislature are debating whether to increase the speed limit from 70 to 75 for all trucks and cars on the Ohio Turnpike and rural interstate highways.
The move comes less than two years after Ohio pushed the speed limit up from 65 mph.
Right now, Maine is the only state entirely east of the Mississippi River that has a 75 mph speed limit. The other 15 states where drivers can go that fast stretch from Texas and Arizona to North Dakota and Idaho.
