New President At Ohio’s Franciscan University
< < Back to new-president-ohios-franciscan-universityA priest originally trained as a pharmacist and attorney has been appointed president of Franciscan University of Steubenville in eastern Ohio.
Trustees announced the appointment of Rev. Sean Sheridan on Friday. He succeeds a fellow Franciscan, Rev. Terence Henry, who has been president since 2000.
The transition will occur June 1.
Sheridan has taught at the Catholic University of America and Franciscan University.
The Cresson, Pa., native was trained as a pharmacist and has practiced law in Pittsburgh and Sacramento, Calif. He joined the Franciscan order of Catholic friars in 2000 and was ordained in 2006.
