Ohio Women’s Golf Finishes Ninth In MAC Championships

The Bobcats shot a 337 on the day, 1,007 strokes overall, and ended 98 strokes off tournament champion Kent State. Ohio was also 24 strokes behind the closest team, Northern Illinois.
Kara Brinkmann was Ohio's top golfer on the cold, rainy day in Nashport, Oh., finishing with an 81. She ended the tournament tied for 18th overall with a 239 for the tournament.
Kristen Helmsdoerfer shot an 83 and finished tied for 40th in the individuals. Helmsdoerfer and Sarah Tranelli both ended the tournament with a 254 and Tranelli shot an 84 on the day.
Lauren McKinzie shot an 89 and finished in 43rd place with a 260. Julie Lechner rounded out the team's scoring with a 92 on the day and finished in 45th place with a 267.
This concludes the Bobcats’ season.
