Athens Woman Attacks Ex With Machete

A southeastern Ohio woman was jailed and charged with assaulting a man with a machete.
April Murphy, 33, of Athens, was arrested Friday and charged with felonious assault.
Responding to a call at about 11 a.m. Friday, police arrived at 8 Franklin Ave. to find Timothy Miller on the front steps with his back covered in blood. Miller told authorities he had been on the front porch of his ex-girlfriend's house when she attacked him with a machete and cut his back. A police report did not indicate what prompted the alleged attack.
Police arrested Murphy at 95 Franklin Ave.
Miller was taken to O'Bleness Memorial Hospital, where his condition was unavailable.
