County Road 48 In Athens County Closed

The Athens County Engineer’s Office announced Monday that County Road 48, in between New England Road between County Road 38, Sand Rock Road and County Road 18 Potter Road in Bern Township, is closed until further notice.
According to a report, there are downed power lines and trees blocking the roadway.
Officials are asking drivers to avoid the area.
A spokesperson anticipates the road will reopen no later than 5 p.m. Monday.
