Disaster Relief Available For Perry County Flood Victims
< < Back to disaster-relief-available-perry-county-flood-victimsThe Perry County Department of Job and Family Services is making flood disaster assistance available to low-income families who were hit hardest by the flood the week of July 8.
Assistance is available to families who earn 200 percent of the federal poverty level or less, or about $47,000 for a family of four. These low-income families with children will be able to replace unanticipated expenses related to the storm and include the following home repair, food loss replacement for Non-Recipients of Food Assistance (SNAP) and replacement of necessary household items.
Applications will only be taken in person at Perry County Job and Family Services beginning Wednesday through Friday, Aug. 30, 2013 or until funds are exhausted.
Funding is limited and will be released on a first-come first-serve basis.
