Ohio Releases Unemployment Rate

The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services was slated to unveil the jobless rate for July on Friday, along with the latest statewide labor force data.
The state unemployment rate has hovered around 7 percent so far this year. It rose to 7.2 percent in June, when Ohio reported a loss of 12,500 jobs – the second-largest loss for any state that month.
Ohio's rate has consistently remained below the nation's rate.
The state unemployment rate peaked at 10.6 percent during the last half of 2009 and early 2010 before beginning to drop off.
