Alleged Cattle Thief Arraigned on 15 Counts

LOGAN — A 28-year-old Lucasville man was arraigned last week after being indicted by a Hocking County grand jury for allegedly running a cattle scheme.
Brandon White is accused of conning farmers in Ohio, West Virginia, and Kentucky, allegedly using falsified documents and fraudulent checks to purchase more than $30,000 worth of livestock and vehicles from unsuspecting farmers in all three states.
“Once we looked into the suspect, we noticed that they were working in our area as well as other parts of the state,” said Hocking County Sheriff Lanny North. “So it was at that point that we reached out to the Attorney General’s office for assistance.”
