RSVP Gets Transportation Contract Despite Protest

A bid protest was rejected Thursday by the Athens County Commissioners, who decided to award a contract for transportation services to be provided by the Retired Senior Volunteer Program.
A Perry County company had protested Athens County’s plan to contract for use of RSVP volunteers to transport low-income people to medical appointments. Those getting rides are clients of the Athens County Department of Job and Family Services.
