Adele Sammons Picks Up MAC Offensive Player of the Week

In her two games this week, Sammons led the conference with eight points, including three goals over the two games, and led the Bobcats with six shots. In her game against Ball State, which Ohio won 4-1, the senior played a role in each of the goals and compiled six points on two goals and two assists.
In the 5-1 win against Longwood, Sammons added another goal scoring in the 64th minute. Sammons also recorded her second defensive stop of the season.
With three goals this weekend Sammons set a career high for goals in a season with eight, which is good for second on the team. Sammons also is now the team leader for assists with 9 and is tied for first on the team with 37 shots.
Sammons and the ‘Cats will look to add another win to their record on Friday, Oct. 23 when they travel up to Kent State to take up the Golden Flashes.
