College Swimming Names Corrin Van Lalen Swimmer Of The Week

College Swimming named freshman Corrin Van Lalen the Mid­-American Conference’s Swimmer of the Week.

The publication named her the MAC’s top women’s swimmer after winning the 50-­meter freestyle, her fourth straight victory in the event, 100­-meter freestyle and 400-­meter freestyle relay against Marshall on Nov. 13. She placed second in the 200­-meter freestyle.

Van Lalen participated in the 2014 Speedo Championship Series in Iowa City, where she placed 52 out of 100 in the 50­meter freestyle and 55 out of 104 nationally in the 100­meter freestyle.
