College Swimming named freshman Corrin Van Lalen the Mid­-American Conference’s Swimmer of the Week. The publication named her the MAC’s top women’s swimmer after winning the 50-­meter freestyle, her fourth straight victory in the event, 100­-meter freestyle and 400-­meter freestyle relay against Marshall on Nov. 13. Tywan Claxton’s Appeal For Eligibility Denied

Redshirt senior Tywan Claxton’s appeal for a fifth season of eligibility has been denied by the NCAA. Claxton transferred from Divsion II King University after his freshman year and redshirted his first year at Ohio University. In that season, he wrestled in two competitions, which the NCAA counted as a full season of eligibility.
