Filho, Dodson Named Academic All-District

Two players from the Rio Grande men’s soccer team have named to the Capital One Academic All-District One College Division by the College Sports Information Directors of America. The two athletes are sophomore forward Luiz Filho and junior goalkeeper Jon Dodson.
Filho, a native of São Paolo, Brazil, is majoring in business and posted a 3.97 grade point average. On the field, he leads the Red Storm in goals (23) and points (49). Dodson, from Tiffin, Ohio, posted a 3.30 grade point average as a business management major, and boasted a .774 save percentage as Rio Grande’s every day starter, including four shutouts.
