Search underway for suspect in East Front Street meth lab
< < Back to search-underway-suspect-east-front-street-meth-labLocal law enforcement are asking for the public’s help in finding Lloyd Williams, who allegedly fled from his parents’ home on East Front Street at about 10:40 a.m. Wednesday.
Deputies from the Hocking County Sheriff’s Interdiction Unit were investigating a tip they received and allegedly found an active methamphetamine lab inside Williams’ bedroom on the second floor.
It’s believed Williams left the home after being picked up in a black Toyota which was later located along Gallagher Avenue. Williams’ whereabouts remained unknown Wednesday evening.
The Fairfield-Hocking Major Crimes Unit arrived at the home and neutralized five inactive plastic bottles that were used in the one-pot “shake and bake” method of cooking meth. The Logan Fire Department also was dispatched to the home to provide fire control while the major crimes unit dismantled the plastic bottles.
Three other plastic bottles, commonly referred to by law enforcement as “gas generators,” were dismantled as well. The generators are used to convert liquid meth into a power form once the “shake and bake” method is complete.
Williams is 49-years-old and has brown hair and blue eyes. He is 6 foot, four inches tall and weighs 215 pounds.
Anyone with information about his whereabouts should contact the Hocking County Sheriff’s Office at 740-385-2131.
