The win also comes after a tough stretch of games for the Lady Spartans. Head coach Cory McKnight commented that the victory highlighted the Lady Spartan’s ability to play well in difficult matchups.
“We’ve really grown up as a team, we’ve played a lot of tough games and are really battle-tested from where we were before,” McKnight explained.
With only a few games left on the schedule, Alexander, Nelsonville-York and Vinton County are in contention for a TVC Ohio title. Should all three teams win out the rest of there games, it would result in a three way tie for first place in the TVC Ohio standings.
