Mother Charged with Trying to Kill 13-Year-Old Daughter

A mother is behind bars accused of trying to kill her 13-year-old daughter.
The Scioto County Sheriff's Office says they responded to a domestic call on Swauger Valley Road in Portsmouth about 11 a.m. Sunday where they found a 13-year-old stabbed one time in the back.
Her mother, Angela Shepherd, 42, was arrested and charged with attempted murder.
She was arraigned Monday and bond was set at $100,000. Shepherd is expected to be in court again later this week.
