Foul Trouble Hurts Lady Buckeyes in Loss
< < Back to foul-trouble-hurts-lady-buckeyes-in-lossThe Nelsonville-York Lady Buckeyes ended their season tonight in a devastating 57-54 loss to the North Adams Lady Green Devils.
The game was back-and-forth throughout all four quarters, with some clear stand out players. Both teams brought their best to the match-up, but the Lady Green Devils came away with a win by 3 points.
The Lady Buckeye’s Jessie Addis was a top scorer for her team as usual. Addis scored 21 points to end her season, with a 3 point attempt at the last buzzer that just couldn’t do the trick.
Kaitlyn Hurd scored 7 points to round out her final season playing for the Lady Buckeyes, but she fouled out in the fourth when her team needed her most.
The Lady Green Devils also had some standout players. Avery Harper scored 21 points and Staci Dinsmore scored 14 points to lead their team to victory.
The Lady Buckeyes faced some tough competition this season, but still managed to go 17-7. After the game, emotions were high as the Lady Buckeyes headed home. The season was nothing to be ashamed of, however, as the team took home a piece of the TVC conference title for the first time in history.
The North Adams Lady Green Devils play the Ironton Tigers, February 27th in the District Final.
