The veterans who served in World War II, Operation Desert Storm and the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan will tell their stories Wednesday in Columbus.
Eight women veterans will focus on what motivated them to join the U.S. military, their experiences in training and in war and their views on women in direct combat roles. The Ohio Department of Veterans Services says more than 67,000 women veterans of all eras live in the state.
The discussion sponsored by the department is being held in honor of Women’s History Month.
