The Republican presidential hopeful is scheduled to campaign in New York on Thursday, a day after he took his positive campaign vibe back to his home state.
“There’s no place like Ohio,” he told a crowd at the historic Peoples Bank Theatre in Marietta. “There’s no place like home.”
In the roughly hour-long speech, Kasich called for accelerating income-tax cuts, taking a hard look at congressional redistricting and promoting arts education in schools.
Democrats expressed skepticism at Kasich’s moderate tone, with the state Senate’s top Democrat saying, “Actions speak louder than words.”
