OU Men’s Club Soccer Team Will Not Face Judicial Charges For Alleged Hazing
< < Back to ou-mens-club-soccer-team-will-not-face-judicial-chargesOhio University's Dean of Students say no judicial charges will be filed against the men's club soccer team.
The team has been suspended from play and practice while an investigation into hazing allegations is conducted.
Ryan Lombardi says no organizational charges will be issued, but individual charges may result.
An unnamed club member was admitted to a hospital Sept. 9.
He told a student manager in a residence hall that he remembered drinking nine shots of liquor and beer and interacting with police.
He reported that his next memory was being treated at a hospital for a gash on the back of his head.
Lombardi says it's now up to the Intramural and Club Sports Department to decide whether to lift the suspension.
Director of Intramural and Club Sports Nick Brigati says he has not received the final report from University Judiciaries yet and will make a decision about the suspension after he reviews the report.
