Kasich Accepts No Blame For Exotic Animal Situation
< < Back to kasich-accepts-no-blame-exotic-animal-situationAccording to a report by The Columbus Dispatch, an order enacted by former Gov. Ted Strickland would have prevented Terry Thompson from having the exotic animals that got loose Tuesday night in Muskingum County.
The order lapsed under Gov. John Kasich. According to The Dispatch, the order "prohibited anyone who had been “convicted of an offense involving the abuse or neglect of any animal pursuant to any state, local, or federal law” from owning exotic animals".
Kasich said at a press conference in Canton that the situation was a mess, but did not accept blame for the situation.
