Assistive Technology & Inclusion on Campus
< < Back to assistive-technology-inclusion-campusHost Joan Butcher speaks with her guests, Rebecca Darling, a junior studying education, and Lacey Martin, Assistant to Chief Information Officer on campus. These women cover the issues of disability at Ohio University. Darling's experience with albinism and Martin and Joan's involvement in PACDAP (the Presidential Advisory Council on Disability and Accessibility Planning) cover what kind of things students with disabilities face every day on campus, and breaking down that barrier people face when having to address that fear of talking to someone with a disability.
PACDAP is reaching out to other colleges, having community members voice their experiences in accessibility on the blog The Journey and continue to advocate one person at a time.
