W. Va. State Parks To Feature Electric Car Charging
< < Back to w-va-state-parks-to-feature-electric-car-chargingHINTON, W.Va. (AP) – West Virginia’s state parks will soon feature charging stations for electric cars.
The U.S. Department of Energy provided a grant to the parks system to set up the stations on all of the lodged state parks in West Virginia.
The parks system has ordered 11 stations. They will feature dual chargers and will be able to produce 30 to 80 amps.
Paul Redford, the district administrator for the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources, Parks and Recreation, says the stations will allow the parks to attract more visitors.
If they’re popular, the parks system says it will work to add more to accommodate demand.
