Striving is a collection of paintings, found objects, art, digital art, and more. The opening reception will be held on Wed., Aug. 3rd from 6:30-8:30pm, free & open to the public. The exhibit will be available until September 1st during semi-regular business hours, 10am-4pm, Mon-Thurs, & during special events, please call 740-592-4315 to schedule a time. “Art has always been central to my life. Some of my earliest memories involve monster themed step-by-step drawings I found in books from the library. Art became a type of meditative therapy for me in my youth. I would sit listening to music as I filled sketchbooks with ideas for hours as a teenager (some of which I have to this day). The importance of creation only grew for me, becoming a deep form of expression. There is a whole universe inside each of us, and I feel artists are able to pull some of their own universe out into the world in many different ways.
