< < Back to 79-year-old-cambridge-man-died-cold-exposureA 79-year-old Cambridge man died of cold exposure the morning of Feb. 11 after reportedly wandering out of an assisted living facility into subzero temperatures.
The Zanesville Times Recorder reports that Neal Tostenson was found about 7 a.m. outside Meridian at Cambridge Senior Living Center. He was pronounced dead by an emergency room physician at the Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center a short time later.
The most recent survey of Meridian at Cambridge was completed in Oct. 2013. The facility was deemed to be producing standard or above quality care, and no citations had been issued, according to the Ohio.gov Long-term Care Consumer Guide.
The investigation has been transferred to the Ohio Attorney General's Office to determine whether any criminal misconduct was associated with Tostenson's death.
