Ohio To Release Job Figures

The jobless rate dropped in January to 6.9 percent, still higher than the national rate of 6.7 percent.
The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services planned to release the latest figures on Friday morning.
The number of workers unemployed in Ohio in January was 395,000, down 16,000 from 411,000 in December. The number of unemployed has decreased by 26,000 in the past 12 months.
Ohio gained 8,000 jobs in goods-producing industries, 2,400 in manufacturing and 500 in mining and logging.
