Ohio Bobcats forward Quiera Lampkins has been named the Mid-American Conference East Division Player of the Week for the second straight week. This is the sixth time Lampkins has received the distinction in her career.

This feat has only been accomplished twice before by an Ohio University women’s basketball player since the MAC began the honor back in 1981 (Lauren Kohn during the 07-08 season and Kiyanna Black during the 14-15 season).

The Bobcats, led by Lampkins, won their only game of the week against IUPUI in a tight contest, 71-65. Lampkins poured in 24 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and dished out two assists. On defense she played like the reigning MAC Defensive Player she is, notching two steals.

Lampkins made 10-of-21 shots from the field, 1-of-3 from behind the arc and 3-of-5 from the stripe.

Only NIU’s Ally Lehman has been named MAC Player of the Week more times than Lampkins this season, grabbing the honor of MAC West Division Player of the Week three straight weeks from Nov. 22 to Dec. 6.

Lampkins and the Bobcats will be on the road Tuesday as they square off against a Big Ten opponent, the  Michigan Wolverines. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
