Rockport, West Virginia Post Office Closing

The Rockport, West Virginia Post Office will close next month.
U.S. Postal Service spokeswoman Cathy Yarosky says that service at the Rockport location will discontinue Nov. 12.
Traffic is expected to be shifted to the Mineral Wells office, which is less than 10 miles away.
A number of area postal facilities are also under scrutiny for closure as the postal service looks for ways to cut costs.
Yarosky said the Postal Regulatory Commission is reviewing a decision about closing the Auburn facility that has been appealed.
