Ohio, Marshall Agree To Play In 2019, 2020
< < Back to ohio-marshall-agree-play-2019-2020Ohio and Marshall have agreed to play each other in football in 2019 and 2010, according to NBC's College Football Talk.
The series had been annual until the Thundering Herd left the Mid-American Conference for Conference USA in 2005. The schools have played every year since, but the series was set to expire after a 2015 game in Athens.
On Sept. 14, 2019 the Bobcats will travel to Huntington, and the game on Sept. 19, 2020 will be played in Athens.
The two schools – separated by 79 miles – have played 57 times in their history, with Ohio leading the series 32-19-6. The Bobcats have won the last three meetings, although Marshall won 10 of the previous 11 match-ups.
Ohio won the most recent "Battle for the Bell" game, 34-31, in Athens this past September.
