Curtis Embrey, 38, of Rutland was arrested Monday and charged with the third-degree felony of making terroristic threats, according to a press release from the Ohio University Police Department.
OUPD, with assistance from Fairfield-Hocking-Athens Major Crimes Unit, responded to the Nelson Dining Hall where Embrey worked and “confirmed the veracity of the threats” before obtaining a warrant for his arrest.
Dining Services temporarily closed Nelson Commons while authorities took Embrey into custody without incident in a nearby parking garage.
Embrey was transported to Southeast Ohio Regional Jail and is banned from campus.
