Ladies Day Out
October 6, 2018 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
Regular AdmissionWe don’t hear much about the incredible women who were instrumental in the establishment and development of the NW Territory. Who were these women? What contributions did they make to help in the establishment and settlement of this great wilderness? Women aren’t often recognized for their hard work and perseverance to survive in this unsettled new territory.
Visit Campus Martius Museum on Saturday, October 6, 2018 from 10:00 to 4:00 while we recognize the contributions women made in the development of the NW Territory. We will cover everything from quilting, weaving, rug hooking, candle dipping, clothing, herbs, and more, as well as, how they met the demands of everyday life. We will also focus on the contributions to the community that were made by specific women of the early settlement that are still recognized today.
