Join us for the inaugural edition of “Crafty Saturdays,” an afternoon of upcycling crafts for all ages! Next weekend, Saturday, August 11th, our craft will be focused on creating yarn from t-shirts (“tarn”), and making flowers from it!  Light refreshments will be served.

Event will be held under a tent in the parking lot of 751 West Union St, Athens Ohio, by Athens Janitorial Supply (follow Union St till it passes Rt 682 and turns into Rt 56).

Sit in the shade, sip lemonade with a cookie, and craft an everlasting bouquet to brighten up your home!

Information about Athens Makerspace will be available, including tours, upcoming classes, and how to become an instructor. Crafty Saturdays will be a recurring event; each will feature a different upcycling activity. Stay tuned for future afternoons upcycling old books, fabric scraps, buttons, and more.
