As a part of the Ohio University College of Fine Arts Summer 2019 Arts Programs, both Daniel King and Cassidy Brauner instructed a time based media program for children ages 10 to 13. Within the programs, campers learned how to use basic video and audio storytelling software and equipment and crafted videos and podcast programs to show off to their parents at the end of their camp week.

WOUB’s Emily Votaw spoke to Brauner and King about the roles they played in the camp, and why audio and video storytelling is a skill worth sharing with children in this age group in the interview embedded above. Stick around to the end of the interviews for a brief sound collage made up of some of the podcasting projects that campers crafted as a part of King’s side of the program.
