Steampunk Spectacle VII: Journey to the Center of the Earth

Stop in to enjoy this annual free community celebration for all ages, which takes its 2019 inspiration from Jules Verne’s novel on underground exploration!
What to expect:
-Science and costume craft workshops (registration required)
-Land navigation and code-breaking programs
-Presentations on the secret geology of caverns and volcanoes (and Iceland!)
-Local puppetry troupe Twig Theatre with Heidi Pendergast, master puppeteer
-Outdoor recreational activities and indoor gaming
-Themed artwork by local Stephen Richter, special guest illustrator
-A low tea social with gourmet French treats
-3rd annual library fundraiser silent auction: Astonishing tea cozies made by the Athens County Knitters (teapots included!)
