Preseason Power Rankings: FAC

Last year, the Hillsboro Indians came out and dominated on the Gridiron, finishing 9-1, with their only loss coming to the Jackson Ironmen. The Indians ended up sharing the conference crown with the Ironmen, but this year is a new year. In this new year of Frontier Athletic Conference play, surprises could be in the near future, but we’ll have to make it to week ten to figure out who will reign supreme. Until then, we have preseason opinions on how the conference could turn out.
Power Rankings
1. 
Jackson Ironmen
The Ironmen are the league’s perennial powerhouse, and return the senior leadership of starting quarterback Jared Icenhower, and running backs Bryce Graham and Bryce Parks. Icenhower has the ability to lead the offense to new heights this season with his arm, and the powerful running style of both Jackson running backs will be hard to stop.
2. 
Chillicothe Cavaliers
The Cavs longtime head coach Ron Hinton retired after the end of last season, leaving them without one of the most successful coaches in OHSAA history. Jeff Pryor was hired to replace Hinton, and has big shoes to fill. As a defensive minded coach he will bring new life to an already tough Chillicothe defense, and the Cavaliers as a whole will be primed for a fresh start.

Washington Court House Blue Lions
This year the Blue Lions have key seniors returning from injuries that held them out all of last season, but what is going to hurt are the departures of Gio Thomas and Dillon Steward. Although, after talking to the Blue Lions at media day, they have a new quarterback that can sling the rock, so the Blue Lions have potential.
4. 
Hillsboro Indians
The Indians lost arguably their three best players on offense in quarterback Mason Swayne, and running backs Josh Keats and Deon Burns to graduation. The biggest question for the Indians this season is, how do they fill the big holes left in their offense, and in particular, their running game?
5. 
McClain Tigers
The Tigers finished fifth in the league last year after upsetting Miami Trace. McClain has the potential to shock their league opponents down the stretch with their determination to stay in games late.
6. 
Miami Trace
Last year, the Panthers went winless in FAC play. After talking to them at Gridiron Glory Media Day, it sounds like the Panthers have undergone a change in team culture this season. Despite the culture change, Miami Trace has the most to prove in the FAC this season.
