Ross County Reports Four Total Confirmed Cases of COVID-19

CHILLICOTHE, Ohio (WOUB) — Ross County now has four total positive cases of COVID-19.

The Ross County Health District confirmed additional cases on Thursday, April 2, in a press release.

The health district’s infectious disease staff said it continues to follow established guidelines and will contact those who have been in close contact with the people who have tested positive.

On Tuesday, March 31, the Ross County Commission declared a state of emergency for the county. Commissioners urged the public to follow Gov. Mike DeWine’s stay at home order.

The Ohio Department of Health confirmed 2,902 positive cases of COVID-19 on Thursday, April at 2 p.m.

The DOH makes the following recommendations to protect yourself from illness:

  • Wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds; dry hands with a clean towel or air dry hands.
  • Use alcohol-based hand sanitizer when soap and water are unavailable.
  • Cover your mouth with a tissue or sleeve when sneezing or coughing. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Stay home when you are sick.
  • Avoid contact with people who are sick.
