Live COVID-19 Talk Show Airing on WOUB FM

ATHENS, OH – WOUB FM will start airing a new program, The America Amplified: Life, Community, and COVID-19 tomorrow (Saturday, April 25) from 3 to 5 p.m. The live talk show – hosted by stations across the country — will explore local community perspectives and solutions to some of the most important issues raised by the coronavirus pandemic.
The discussion will be informed by active, ongoing engagement with local communities, featuring voices from the communities covered. The program will run each Saturday until May 30. You can also stream the program from wherever you listen to podcasts.
The first show will come from WABE in Atlanta and KQED in San Francisco. In one hour, the program will look at how remote learning is exposing educational inequities in our communities. In hour two, the tough circumstances and choices facing essential workers during the pandemic.
