LACUNA
August 20, 2021 @ 10:00 am - March 6, 2022 @ 5:00 pm
FreeLACUNA is an intermedia collaboration between Mateo Galvano, a multimedia conceptual artist, and C. David Russell, whose practice includes performing objects as well as scenic and costume design for theater.
The installation features sculptures, moving images, and an audio soundscape. Within the immersive environment, a ‘bramble puppet’ made of sticks is activated by stop-motion animation.
A language of formal abstraction is used to tell a story about the creative process.
Kennedy Museum of Art is open to the public Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays 10 am – 5pm, Thursdays 10 am – 8 pm, Saturday and Sunday 1 pm – 5 pm.
The museum’s front doors will be unlocked and reservations to enter and visit are no longer required. Masks indoors are mandatory and the number of visitors will be limited as per University guidelines.
