Prior to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, WOUB filmed a number of regional bands performing in our Radio A Studio space. Some of the sessions were filmed almost two years ago, and WOUB Culture is proud to finally present them, like an artifact from the distant past.

Largemouth

Columbus’ Largemouth Brass Band brought performances of three originals to WOUB’s Radio A. The set kicked off with “Night Lightning” from the group’s 2021 album Repilot, followed up by “Jelly (Wouldn’t Shake Like That)” from the band’s 2018 self titled album (the song in question being a contribution to a long line of tunes inspired by jelly — and things that do and don’t shake like it). The band closed with “Night Paving on I-77,” also from their 2018 self titled.

Keep tabs on the Largemouth Brass Band on Facebook and on their website.
