The annual Appalachian Green Teachers Conference will be held October 27-29 at Burr Oak State Park Lodge:

• Wednesday, October 27 will be dedicated to career-connected learning, such as internships and other work/training experiences.

• Thursday, October 28 and Friday, October 29 will be our classic conference experience: learn about the ecology and history of Appalachian Ohio, gain new activities and resources to bring to the classroom, and get inspired by connecting to other teachers who are passionate about nature-based learning.

Graduate credit (1 hr) will be available through Ashland University.

Sessions, speakers, and registration details will be announced soon. Typical topics include inquiry-based learning, environmental sciences, and place-based learning. We have a mix of sessions for everyone from early childhood to high school educators, and are interdisciplinary (green teachers don’t have to be science teachers!).
