Jackson claims the two seed in Region 11 with thumping victory over Chillicothe

Last game of the regular season for both teams, and in this one both teams will be fighting for the FAC.
The Jackson Ironmen hosted the Chillicothe Cavaliers in a game with big playoff implications for both teams.
Jackson looked dominant from start to end in this one and solidified their status as one of the top teams in division three. The Ironmen played great in all facets of the game, and they went on to win 49-0.
Jackson started this game forcing two quick punts for the Cavaliers and answered with two touchdowns. One was an 11-yard touchdown run on a jet sweep by wideout Holden Blankenship on Jackson’s first offensive play of the game. The other was a one-yard quarterback sneak by Jacob Winters.
It would take three more Jackson drives until they are able to get into the endzone again. This time running back Cade Wolford got in on the action and took a long 21-yard touchdown run to the house, but not before planting a Chillicothe defender into the turf. This would put the Ironmen up 21-0 about five minutes into the second quarter.
Jacob Winters would then cap off the first half for Jackson with two more rushing touchdowns. One was on another quarterback sneak, and the other was a 21-yard run down the sideline that put the Ironmen up 35 going into the half.
A running clock in the second half ended this one fast. The only two scores were on an 11-yard run by Cade Wolford for his second of the game, and a Gavin Jones touchdown from two yards out.
The Ironmen may have put up 49 points in this game, but the defense was the story of the game. Chillicothe had gone the entire regular season without being shutout, and then, fighting for their playoff lives, Jackson blanked them.
The Ironmen defense was so good, the zero on the board for the Cavaliers doesn’t even begin to tell the story. Chillicothe went their first six drives without getting a single first down and ended the game with only 4 total. Jackson also held the Cavaliers to only 1.3 yards per carry, and 2.2 yards per play.
Jackson will look to bring this dominance into the playoffs with them as they look to Columbus South, while Chillicothe just missed out on the playoffs and will have to wait until next year.
