Alexander and Vinton County split TVC-Ohio title, Federal Hocking steals a share of Trimble’s TVC-Hocking crown

TVC-Ohio Standings
1st 
Alexander Spartans (13-9, 10-2)
The Spartans ended their regular season with wins over Vinton County, Athens and Meigs, guaranteeing them a share of the regular season title. They’re still in postseason contention as they look to face off against Fairland on Saturday.
1st 
Vinton County Vikings (16-7, 10-2)
After losing to Alexander twice by net a total of 4 points, the Vikings ended their regular season with a share of the title following their win against River Valley. They’ll look to their younger players next season as they hope for a potential title repeat.
3rd 
Meigs Marauders (11-9, 6-6)
The Marauders ended their last week of the season losing games to Vinton County and Alexander, but were able to split a pair of games with Wellston. With the split, the Marauders secured a three way tie, splitting games with both Athens and Wellston. Their postseason run came to an end in the hands of Zane Trace.
4th 
Wellston Golden Rockets (10-9, 6-6)
The Golden Rockets ended the season splitting games with both Meigs and Athens, securing a three way tie between the three teams. Their season came to an end against Minford in the postseason.
5th 
Athens Bulldogs (7-14, 6-6)
Despite only winning 7 games, Athens’ 6 conference wins and split games with both Wellston and Meigs were enough to take a share for third place in a three way tie. The Bulldogs beat Circleville before losing to Waverly in the postseason.
6th 
Nelsonville-York Buckeyes (7-15, 2-10)
The Buckeyes disappointing regular season was capped off positively with a win against River Valley. Unfortunately for the Buckeyes, their playoff run ended in the hands of Portsmouth in the first round.
7th 
River Valley Raiders (3-18, 2-10)
The Raiders regular season came to an end in the hands of Vinton County, capping off a 5 game losing streak to end the year. River Valley’s postseason run came to a halt against South Point in the first round.
TVC-Hocking Standings
1st 
Trimble Tomcats (19-1, 11-1)
The Tomcats spent the first 19 games of the regular season undefeated. Then, in the final seconds of the conference title game against Federal Hocking, a miraculous buzzer beater derailed the undefeated regular season. Trimble still finishes with a share of the TVC-Hocking title, and the team still has a long postseason road ahead of them. They take on Portsmouth Notre Dame in the district semifinals on Saturday.

Federal Hocking Lancers (17-4, 11-1)
Federal Hocking had their 12 game win streak snapped in a 1-point loss to Trimble. Their chances at an outright title crumbled, but then, they came back with vengeance. Andre Crockwell’s historic half court shot gave Federal Hocking an unlikely share of the TVC-Hocking title. Their momentum has boded well in the postseason, as they’ve reached the district semifinals to take on Latham Western.
3rd 
Waterford Wildcats (16-5, 7-5)
The Wildcats capped off the season with wins against struggling opponents in Miller and Belpre, along with victories over rivals Fort Frye and South Gallia. Waterford suffered an upset in the playoffs, however — the 8-seed Wildcats were bested by 9-seed Notre Dame in the sectional finals.
4th 
South Gallia Rebels (10-10, 5-7)
After tallying four straight losses, the Rebels secured two easy wins against River Valley and Belpre. They cap off the regular season at .500 with a contested loss against Waterford last night, and with a conference record just short of breaking even.
5th 
Belpre Golden Eagles (5-16, 3-9)
The Golden Eagles had a mixed bag of results, with losses against Waterford and South Gallia followed by a win against Eastern. They faltered early in the postseason with a loss to fellow TVC opponent Alexander.
6th 
Eastern Eagles (2-19, 2-10)
The Eagles ended their final week of the season with a win against Southern, ending their campaign with two wins to end the year. Despite hanging tight for the first three quarters of the postseason, Eastern just couldn’t finish the job in their first round playoff game against Paint Valley.
7th 
Southern Tornadoes (7-15, 2-10)
The Tornadoes were able to steal their second conference win against South Gallia, but fell to Eastern in the final game of the regular season — completing a sweep that marked the Eagles’ only two wins of the year. Their inconsistent season came to an end in a 16 vs 17 play-in game against Eastern Pike.
