OhioHealth UpBEAT History Group: History of The Cambridge Glass Company
August 11, 2022 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
FreeIn May of 1902, The Cambridge Glass Company, one of the country’s largest glass companies, produced its first piece of glass. The 1920s brought expansion and the 1930s brought development of new glass patterns and colors. From the beginning, there were changes in presidency of the glass company, with the company closing for the final time in 1958. Join us virtually, by telephone or computer device, or in-person (RSVP required to attend in-person) to learn more about the reason why the glass company was brought to Cambridge, as well as more about the glass workers and glasshouse families. We will watch the Cambridge Glass Museum Documentary together and will have discussion to follow. UpBEAT (Be Educated and Active Together) is a program for those aged 55 years and over. Membership is free. To learn how you can join us virtually (by phone or technology device) or RSVP for attending the program in-person (RSVP taken on first come, first serve basis as space is limited), contact Caitlin Bond, UpBEAT Program Coordinator by phone at 740-566-4680 or e-mail at Caitlin.Bond@ohiohealth.com.
