Londoners Tom Dowse, Florence Shaw, Lewis Meynard and Nick Buxton strike a compelling balance between unconventional spoken-word lyrics and catchy guitar-led jams.
With two EPs in 2019 and the fantastic debut record “No Long Leg” released just last year, Dry Cleaning’s second album “Stumpwork” is expected October 2022.
Vocalist Florence Shaw’s deadpan delivery and limited movement on stage is all at once aloof, standoffish, and charming – especially in contrast to guitarist Tom Dowse and bassist Lewis Meynard’s dynamic presence and drummer Nick Buxton’s steady ferocity.
Post-punk trio Weak Signal from NYC opened the show, joining Dry Cleaning for five nights in the midwest and Nashville.
