Coming into this game the Falcons were undefeated and the Lions came into this game with one loss on the season. It was expected to be a close game, but it was the exact opposite. The Falcons struggled all night on both the offensive and defensive end.
Falcons quarterback Peyton Caudill struggled and only completed two of his eight passes and threw three interceptions. But the falcons running back Jeff Pica had a good game and finished with 136 yards, but it was not enough.
The Washington Blue Lions made everything look easy out on the field. The offensive attack was clicking on all cylinders the whole night. Starting with the quarterback Troy Thompson who had a very electrifying arm, and his completion percentage was insane.
Thompson ended the game completing 20 out of his 24 passes, throwing for 266 yards and three touchdowns. Thompson was able to put up these insane numbers with help from his very talented receivers and tight end.
The biggest threat and most talented weapon he had was Tanner Lemaster who is a Kentucky commit. Lemaster definitely showed why he is a top talent.
He had six receptions for 70 yards and two touchdowns, one of which was an insane catch, and he mossed the defender in the end zone. Also, wide receiver Calum Brown was a big contributor. He ended with three receptions and 58 yards.
The Lion’s run game was also great which resulted in three of their running backs getting a touchdown. One of the running backs, Tre Johnson, got the job done on both sides of the field. Johnson had six carries for 69 yards and a touchdown.
On the defensive end he had two interceptions. Not only was the Lions offense dominant, their defense also dominated. They did not allow a touchdown the entire game. The Lions showed their dominance all night, forcing turnovers and having multiple big hits.
Washington proved they were the better team all night and ended with an impressive win 42-0.
