< < Back to hardwood-heroes-returns-january-22ATHENS, OH – It’s time for another exciting season of southeast Ohio high school basketball and Hardwood Heroes (HH). The show returns Sunday, January 22 at 11 p.m. The program will be co-hosted this year by Ohio University students, Junior Bryce Tinson, a journalism news and information major and Sophomore Hailey Hollinger, a journalism news and information major, and produced by Sophomore Adam Schlosser, a journalism news and information major.
Hardwood Heroes is a 30-minute high school basketball program that will air each Sunday night at 11 p.m. and repeat on Mondays at 6 p.m. for eight weeks. The program will continue to cover all teams in the Tri-Valley Conference (TVC) with eight boys and girls teams getting in-depth multi-media coverage each week, plus this year we are adding a ninth school to our coverage – the Waterford Wildcats.
“We are so incredibly excited to tell the story of these teams and their communities while following both the boys and girls teams throughout the course of the season,” said Schlosser.
Viewers will see many different types of team coverage which include video recaps of games, game breakdowns, engaging social media content and online articles that focus on analysis of the games or community features.
“We want to share the unique qualities that make each school and their communities special,” said Schlosser.
